Basketry Material1027/8 b-m

Part b is a round wooden strip bent in a circle with one nail to hold it in place. Nail holes are around the entire perimeter of the circle. Part c and d are dark wood with slots that are connected together by a nail and incised with rectangular cuts on opposite sides of the centre. Part e, f, g and h are flat pieces of lighter wood with bottom corners cut to one side. Part i, j, and k are bamboo rods sliced in half except for one end that is partially flatten to one side. Part l is a bamboo rod sliced in half except for one end that is partially flattened to one side and has three protruding nails down the centre. Part m is a loosely coiled piece of grass(?).

Dagger933/3 a-c

The knife (part a) is a long metal blade with curvy edges and a long point at the bottom which inserts into the handle (part c) which is made of wood and has two carved spiral designs. There is an embellishing ringlet between the blade and the long point at the bottom. The sheath (part b) is made of wood with the long part having been wrapped around with metal which leaves the middle of one side open. There is also a cross-guard-like piece to the sheath.

Rod Puppet1026/1 a-d

A white puppet with an upper body (part a) and a head carved with a headpiece (part b) attached together by a stick (part c). One marionette stick had broken off with the right hand, now repaired. The shoulders can rotate and the elbows can bend. The waist (part a) and the stick (part c) have "10/SHINtA" written in blue.

Mask985/6

A green-faced mask with brown eyes outlined with red, red nostrils, and a red mouth with six teeth covered with shells. The black moustache is curvy as are the eyebrows. The forehead is decorated with a gold-like tear-drop-shaped design with a green stone in the middle. To each sides of the hair, there is another gold-like tear-drop-shaped design with a red-painted middle. There is a headpiece on the black hair which is gold-like and has a green stone in the middle with two red-painted areas at either sides. Attached to the sides of the mask is a rubber band.

Food Cover763/2

A light brown cover with some of the bark dyed red to create a design. The sides have an alternating pattern of vertical lines and a floral design within a diamond-shape. The bottom has a four-pointed star with a flower on top of a spiral in the centre, and four flowers in between the points of the star. The rim is wrapped with a silvery foil covered over by red-dyed bark in equal rectangular intervals to create an alternating pattern. Dark brown fibre is wrapped around and stitched around the rim.

Basket680/5

Brown, red and green woven basket with a round top and square bottom. Top of basket is ringed with a deep red strip of wood. Basket is made of two woven layers: the inner layer is made from thick, undyed plant strips; the outer layer is made from thin red, green and undyed strips woven into an intricate curvilinear pattern. A length of fabric and two red, yellow and green tassels are attached to two small holes in the upper rim. A strip of red, yellow and green floral-print fabric lines the basket's bottom.

Knife1338/1 a-b

The knife (part a) has a short round-curved blade with a sun-like design on the top corner next to the handle, and the number "1942" inscribed on one side. The sheath (part b) is made of skin stitched with fibre along the edges of the rim. One side of the sheath has a hatch work design along the sides with three sun-like circles in the middle.

Shredder951/1 a-c

Dark brown, long, flat board, with a curved protrusion on one end, and an upright triangular column of wood at the other end. The board features shallowly carved curvilinear designs. The triangular column, with the point facing away from the board, has a face carved on it in such a manner that it is bisected vertically by the angle created by the point of the triangle. Two flat disks of white-brown shell (or bone?) are positioned as the eyes of the face. The column is topped with a small rectangular piece of oxidized metal. Parts a and b are horn-like pieces of metal that sit on top (corroded), with one flat end and a curlicue at the top end.

Shoulder Cloth1139/2

Long, narrow brownish-red textile with centre pattern of bands of geometric designs outlined in white and dark blue, bordered by larger but different patterns on each side. Wide band of patterned circles between two stripes, in white and dark blue at one end, and similar, but narrow at opposite end.

Small globular white ware (?) jarlet with round lipped rim, covered in a dark green glaze of uneven tone, pooling around base where glaze is a blue colour. Pot is unglazed on base.
