The drum base has a large human ritualistic face carved on the front. Facing the man, there is a woman wearing a knee-length pleated skirt, and standing with her arms bent, and outstretched with her feet apart, and appearing to be dancing. Hourglass-shaped wooden drum with a leather head at each end. Laced from top to bottom with leather and tied in the middle with a leather thong. Ends of drum are circled by leather thongs. Handle is attached to base of drum with leather. One side of handle is covered with ticking while the other side is with raffia-like material and edged in leather.
