KnifeK4.268 a-b

Knife (part a) and sheath (part b). The blade has curved sides and a pointed tip. Ridged wood knife handle and wooden sheath are both wrapped with bands of copper wire: the sheath has three bands, and the handle has two. A protrusion with a hole through the top on the sheath appears to be part of a carrying apparatus.

Mask with a broad dark coloured forehead, a light coloured band around the top of the head decorated with dark lines, arched lines outlining the eyebrows, oval-shaped cut-out eyes outlined with large light space and thin dark lines, an angular nose, an oval-shaped mouth with jagged teeth, and a protruding band underneath the chin decorated with dark lines. Inscription on back reads: "A tourist fake."

Toy Car3618/1

Handmade toy vehicle consisting of metal wires coiled together. Wires that make up main body of vehicle are wrapped in assorted plastic, wheels and under carriage are uncovered. Construction is open, with wires suggesting walls and seats; two semi-circles protrude from front centre of vehicle. Six wire figures are inside vehicle, playing different instruments; all are dressed in cotton clothing and have their heads covered. Two figures in back are playing large circular drums; two in middle are facing one another and playing cymbals. Two figures stand at front with cylindrical instruments, holding long sticks inserted into them. Instrument materials are cut from oil cans. Long curved handle attached to bottom back edge, that extends overtop entire vehicle; for steering and pushing. When toy is moved, arms on all figures move to play their instruments.

Handmade toy two-wheeled bicycle consisting of metal wires coiled together; wheels are wrapped in rubber. Wire figure seated on bike playing a drum with drumsticks; the drum is made from a Coke can. "R" and "L" written on right and left tips of drumsticks. Figure is dressed in striped shirt and floral pants, in blue, yellow, orange, white, and dark green. Head and tips of drumsticks are circular pieces of wood, painted white; smiling face drawn in marker. Musician wears a purple cardboard hat. Curved handle attached to back of bicycle, for steering and pushing. When moved, figure plays drum.

Two figures are standing at front with cylindrical instruments, and they are holding long sticks inserted in them. Instruments are made of plain metal and oil cans. Eighth figure at front of vehicle, facing backward, has their hands on top of the two standing figures; they are wearing a metal mask with horns. Long curved handle attached to bottom back edge, that extends overtop entire vehicle; for steering and pushing. When toy is moved, figures holding instruments move to play them; masked figure bends at the waist.

Construction is open with wires making up a rectangular platform for four figures to stand on. All figures are dressed in cotton clothing, and have stuffed heads with faces embroidered on. Male figures on left are playing guitars, and female figures on right are playing drums. Identical guitars are made up of wood and bottle caps; drum in back consists of a large plastic cap, and drum at front is made of bottle caps threaded together. Long curved handle attached to back bottom edge, that bends overtop entire vehicle; for steering and pushing. When toy is moved, all arms move to play instruments.
