Provenience note: collection apparently purchased or collected by McLean in Sitka and vicinity circa 1884.Per Eric Hollinger, a column of wooden hat rings (potlatch rings), or potlatch cylinder, # E74441 belongs with sculpin crest hat E74339, based on XRF testing of the paint on that object, and comparing/matching it to flecks of the same type of paint on E74339, as well as comparing the size of the two pieces for fit.
