Saddlebag1358/1

A saddlebag constructed from a long continuous length of off-white striped wool canvas, which is folded and seamed onto itself at each end to form a pair of bags of equal size (panniers). The fronts of both bags, as well as the “bridge” that separates the two bags, are decorated with large rectangular panels of very finely knotted pile weaving that is worked on the canvas. The piece is tightly woven and quite stiff. The design motifs on the pile woven sections is consisting of octagonal and other geometric forms with shades of red, and brown predominating. The outside edges of the saddle bag are bound with braided brown goat or camel hair and the opening of each bag is finished with dense loops of braided goat or camel hair. There are colourful tassels at the corners and on the back of one bag, a length of brown cotton twill tape is attached.

Necklace1187/22

A metal oval-shaped necklace with a space in between both top ends that curve around. The solid metal ends are engraved with a group of triangles and then circles after which they begin to coil around leaving a hollow space inside. At the transition point in between solid and coiled metal there is a decoration on top of each side with a blue centre.

A silvery metal ladle with a six-petaled flower on the inner side of the bowl with a hole in the centre and six other holes around it. The straight handle has a zig zag pattern on the inner side.

Flask1187/24 a-b

A flask with a circular container (part a) and a stopper (part b). The design on the container consists of a large central circle with two small circles beside it and another small circle above it and a petal-shape below it. Each circle and the petal-shape are rimmed with tiny circles. The metal within each circle and the petal-shape is yellowish, and the tiny circles are silvery. Tiny silvery circles in a flower shape are in between each circle and the petal-shape. The design is rimmed with tiny silvery circles. The back of the container has two loops.

Goat Bell1187/17

A round metal bell with one side longer around the rim so that the other side can fit around it. There is a metal loop at the top. Each side has a design with two birds in a tree and an inscription which reads "Parrot Brand". The bell is rimmed with a row of vertical lines and there is a ball inside.

A pair of wood shoes which are flat across the top and have fibre and rope wrapped around them through which the feet go in like sandals. The top is designed with a large floral motif.

Container1187/13

A wood piece with two parts attached to each other with sinew at both ends. The first part has a hollow bowl-shape with a short flat end at one side and a flat duck-bill-like end at the other side. It is carved with lines of triangles. The other part is flat and follows the contours of the first part and is carved on the outside with lines of zig zags and triangles making a geometric quadrangle pattern.
