Pipe1384/8

Long white-yellow coloured pipe with animal figures with black circular designs carved in relief across its length. The inside of the bowl is dark brown. Starting from the outside of the bowl and working towards the pipes' mouthpiece are two bird-like figures carved on either side of the bowl with two carved hands holding two sea lions. Carved in relief along the length of the pipe are a pair of sea otters, a fish and whale, two four-legged animals with short tails and a small face with long arms. The mouthpiece of the pipe is shaped into an animal's head. The length of the piece has two side panels with decorated with circular designs.

Sphere-shaped basket with circular base and mouth with lid. Base has warps radiating from central point. Light yellow decoration on walls consist of two rows of geometric design forming framework that contains 4 flowers, one diamond shape and the letters "Ketchikan, Alaska". Rim folded over to outside and secured by row of twining. Lid is concave with knob and is decorated with two rows of alternating stitches in light yellow and brown, between two rows of light yellow geometric design. Knob is decorated with one row of light yellow stitching.

Curved silver spoon with an oval bowl and a tapering handle with a profile bird-head finial. Features of bird-head extend out from the handle with the crest and brow band on one side and a jaw line below. Iris and brow band are slightly raised. Engraving includes details on bird's head, including a split u on the crest, an ovoid eye, and mouth and lines indicating the nostril and feathers. Angled ovoid in ovoid on the neck (handle shaft) u-shapes, split u's, and s-curves to large angled ovoid where handle widens to the spoon of the bowl. Wing and tail-like appendages on either side of the ovoid. 'Ketchikan' is engraved in a curve in the spoon bowl.

Helmet-style sea lion(?) headdress, with rounded head and flattened snout. Blue head with red around blue nostrils, in open mouth, scribbled below curved eyebrow bands and in crescent shapes on each side of snout and below mouth. Copper discs in eyes, nailed at centre and outlined in relief oval-shape. Open under mouth. Head is 2 pieces nailed together. Series of holes on top of snout, each side. Five holes (for teeth) on lower portion of mouth. Numerous scrapes on top and sides of head. Chip on mouth.

Small carved seal head, flattened at back with an oval hole at centre. Two holes on bottom with loose wooden plugs broken off at surface. Top surface has a row of incised circles with dots inside; wedge-shaped snout with incised v-shaped mouth, whispers and nostrils; eyelash-like eyebrows above round eyes, dots behind eyes. All circles are blackened.
