Finely woven shawl. On a black ground are dense stripes made of sketch-style white lines, running the length of the textile. At each end sits a panel of loosely woven fibre, much like lace, with linear and diamond designs incorporated. The panels are finished with a fringe at each end.

The Donors3170/1 a-y

Contemporary retablo with ceramic figures, miniature retablos and paper books. The wooden box itself (part a) has a structured hole at centre front, taking the form of a stage. The wood is painted black and several images are adhered to it, such as a typewriter, human and animal figures, flowers, and Albert Einstein surrounded by pigeons. Ceramic figures of the donor and her husband (parts b and c), their dog (part d), and a small stool (part e) are placed in the retablo, as well as a small woven basket (part f) containing a crumpled sheet of paper (part y). There are three miniature retablos (parts g-i) of glass and wood, one of which is held by the woman, and many miniature books (parts j-x). Six of the books are filled with blank paper, while the other nine have titles and writing inside.

Quiver of ?seal skin sewn with sinew. The base of the quiver has been added from a different piece of skin. There is a small thong of leather near the top of the quiver. There are several patches of bare skin.; Good.

Knitted doll (finger puppet ?) of famous Argentinean soccer player, Diego Maradona. The blue, white, black and beige wool figure is a knitted tube with legs and arms, stuffed feet and head and it is holding a stuffed soccer ball in one hand. There is an opening in the back at the neck of the shirt and a loop at the top of the head.

Carved wooden mask. Projecting out from the bottom of a tall flat headdress is a small rectangular face with prominent brow or hat and a squared pointed nose. Much of the mask appears to have been over-painted; most of the black and red facial features are covered with white paint but the black eyes and mouth, as well as the black zigzag and dot designs of the headdress and sides of the face, are painted over the white. At the base of the headdress, in the centre, is a roughly gouged hole.

Light wood piece with centre hollowed out. All features of face are pronounced: red lower lip protrudes further than black upper lip around perforated mouth slit; yellow lime covers large geometric nose, softened cheekbones and chin; recessed eye sockets have protruding white eyelids around lozenge-shaped eye perforations. Eyebrows are black arcs. One perforated hole on either temple with knotted twine; the hole on the left with length of twisted wire. Knotted tag attached to hole on the right and three stamps on inside of mask.
