Wall Hanging3497/1

Applique wall hanging of three men and two women on a dark brown background. All have white faces, with oval-shaped eyes, long lashes, thin lines for mouths, and black hair. Men’s hair is cropped short, women have braids. Women are wearing long parkas and boots; men have short parkas, pants and boots. Parkas are orange, light purple-grey, and dark yellow, with dark purple, black, orange and pink trim. Pants and boots are dark yellow and light purple-grey, with black trim and light purple-grey trim. One of the men is in the background with a bow and arrow pointed at five bears and wolves. Animals are orange, dark blue and light purple-grey. The other humans are in the foreground, with their arms raised. Edges of hanging are rolled, secured with white and yellow whipstitching. (Velcro strip sewn on back, for hanging purposes).

Mouth Pull3353/3

Rectangular pastel drawing of two men engaged in the mouth pull game. The men are in the foreground, along the bottom edge of the paper. Both are coloured a light pink, have black hair and their eyes are closed. The man on the left side has short hair and the man on the right has long hair. Both are visible from the shoulders up and their shoulders are bare. The man on the right is facing the right side of the paper and the man on the left is facing the left side. The man on the right has his right arm wrapped around the shoulders of the man on the left, with one finger in his mouth. The man on the left is doing the same with his left arm and has a finger in the man on the right side's mouth. Above, and behind, the men is an upside down black-outlined semi-circle. The interior of it is coloured in light yellow and dark orange. Above the semi-circle is a black and white inukshuk with shades of dark brown. The background around the inukshuk is light blue and fades to a grey-blue. Above the inukshuk there are two harpoons with yellow blades and dark brown handles. The harpoons face inwards towards a dark brown, oval-shaped tool. The tool has a hole in the centre and two holes on the top and bottom with white strings(?) coming out of them. In the bottom centre of the print, in the space between the two men, the artist signature is written in pencil.

Stone figure of a woman. Woman stands, wearing an amauti style parka, with a flap that falls mid-thigh at front and to ankles at back. A large pouch falls from her shoulders down her back. At front, her arms hang at her sides, with the amauti creating large square shoulders. Pants are short, and meet boots at knees. Her hair is in double braids that sit on top of the pouch. Face is round with a pointed chin, eyes and brows have been darkened with black. Label on base

Carving2978/109

Tall grey stone sculpture. Bear head at top with upward pointing nose, incised mouth and eyes and pointed protruding ears. Below this are four carved and protruding faces, two on either side of the sculpture. The first is upside down with a pointed chin, incised smiling mouth, eyes and long nose. Below this is an upright face with a bulging forehead, large square nose, and incised eyes and mouth. The two faces on the other side of the sculpture are similar to each other with pointed chins, large hooked noses, slightly bulging foreheads, and incised eyes. One has an incised frown, the other a smile. On the foot of the sculpture is an incised signature.

Drawing on horizontal rectangular sheet of ivory paper of a large brown fish being attacked by two dogs. The dog on the left is blue with green ears, while the dog on the right is green with blue ears. Between the two dogs is a green bird with outstretched wings. To the bird's right is a small blue standing bird. Another small blue standing bird is just above the tail of the fish. Under image, in pencil crayon are 2 syllabic symbols and 2.98. Pencil inscription on reverse says "1975".

Drawing2978/32

Drawing on horizontal rectangular sheet of black paper. Image of a multi-coloured landscape with many different types of hunting portrayed. To the upper left a man is ice fishing through a small hole on a lake. He is jigging. To his right stands a man on a hill who appears to be being attacked (?) by a wolf/dog. To the right of the man is a partially butchered decapitated caribou. To the right of the wolf/dog are two caribou grazing on the tundra. To their right is a musk-ox. To the lower left a seal is swimming in the water. To the right of the seal there is a narrow isthmus. On the lower side of the isthmus is an inuksuk. Immediately below the inuksuk is a man lying on the ground and hiding behind a small rock. He is hiding from a herd of three caribou swimming in the direction of the narrow opening - two of the caribou have ears and one has a tail that make them look more like wolf/dogs. To the right of the caribou is a man in a kayak with no paddle. In the bottom centre of the image is a muskox. The grey and white on the land is probably snow. The image extends to all edges of paper.

Drawing on horizontal rectangular sheet of white paper of a person facing the viewer with his arms and legs outstretched. This is a two headed figure with the faces in the hood facing each other. Multiple human faces are attached to the rest of this figure. There is a face on the upper side and the lower side of each arm. In addition there are two faces on each arm. There is a face on each side of the torso facing out and another face on each side of the torso facing in. Finally there is a face on the upper surface of each leg.

To the left of the upper figure is a person holding a raised spear in his left hand and being attacked from behind by a dog biting the back of his hood. Below is another dog attacking the hand of the centre figure. Another dog is below attacking the hand of the figure with the brown parka. Below is another dog biting his foot. To the right of the centre figure is a person in a white parka with his body stretched out. Below him is a dog biting the hand of the man in the centre. Below this is a dog attacking the dog above. Below is a muskox facing the man in the brown parka and below is a dog attacking the foot of the man in the brown parka. The people and animals are set in a multi-coloured landscape that extends to the edges of the paper. Pencil inscription on reverse includes artist name and "PL-17-88"

On the owl's right wing is a grey bird with a brown wing. On the owl's left wing is a red-brown bird with a brown wing. On the body of the owl are two grey circles. Inside each circle is a flying brown bird. At the top of the image are two bears. The bear on the left is brown and the bear on the right is grey.
