Wide borders, with arrow motifs through their centres, circle top and bottom of egg. Identical bands run down sides, connecting the borders, and dividing the front and back of the container. Antelope designs on front and back; both are depicted in profile. The antelope on the front is leaping forward; animal on back has its head bent and is standing next to a small tree. Base is undecorated.

On the front and back, extending from the border to the base, are curved horn-like designs; the horns are made up of wavy lines. In between the horns are a line of connected concentric diamonds. Antelope designs are on the left and right sides; both are standing straight and depicted in profile. Base is undecorated.

The animal is incised upside down, underneath the opening; the wildebeest is along the bottom edge. Base is undecorated.

Red-brown dyed grass is used to create an irregular pattern of lines and triangles extending from base to top in shades of brown and red brown. Construction is grass fibre woven around sedge root into thick tubes, winding up from bottom centre to rim. Brown dyed grass is used to create a pattern of triangles across the inside and exterior of the basket. Offset concentric circles of brown decorate the base.
