Boots379/17 a-b

Pair of size 38 brown leather cowboy-like boots with a low heel and plastic sole. Leather is sewn into an accordion-like configuration around the ankles. A decorative strap with brown metal eyelets and a silver buckle is attached around the front of the ankle (missing from left boot). Name of the company, shoe size and other information is printed in raised, monochromatic lettering on the bottom of both soles.

Necklace1277/1

Necklace of twined cord with teeth strung onto it for most of length. The necklace is formed by a number of strands of cord, one with teeth strung onto it, with another piece of cord coiled around them to form a thick tube. Tassels at each end are three quarters as long as the coiled part of the necklace.

Gaucho Pants379/15

Black cotton pants with pleated waist and ankles. The pants widen at the hips then taper in at the bottom. There is a buttoned pocket at the back; metal straps on the sides; rows of white decorative buttons along the sides of the legs. On the hip is a label with orange writing that reads: Casas, Cavalho, Tradicao’.

Semicircular fan with six feather panels that are attached to leaf(?) handles. Feather panels are decorated with smaller blue and red feathers near their base. White fluffed feather material is found on each panel just below the blue and red feathers. Panels are connected to each other at the bottom by a brown coloured fibre wrapped metal rectangular loop. Loop has a red and white tassel hanging from the centre.

Necklace424/8 a

Crescent shaped necklace consisting of numerous green and red feathers, with black colouring, bound together with fibre twine which is wrapped around a twisted twine rope. One end of the rope is looped with a fragment of another piece of rope that was probably once attached to the opposite end which is now frayed and unraveling. The feathers are displayed in a fan-like shape.

Loom for making wrist bands (parts a-b) consisting of a piece of branch wood (part a) that is bent and tied into a teardrop shape. It is bound only at the point where the two ends meet. Attached to the loom is a half completed wristlet with two shuttles. Part b is the wood beater or weaving sword, in an elongated diamond shape, made out of very hard wood. One end of beater is a sharp point, the other end is blunt.
