Short wooden paddle with a leaf-shaped blade. Complex design painted in black on one side of blade - dominated by a claw or foot design. The other side of the blade painted with the outlines of two intersecting ovoids (unfinished). Two painted black stripes and a printed "Mr. Raley" near handle grip.

Hook with single barb hafted onto a wooden fore-shaft. The foreshaft is bound with twine which has been coated with pitch. A braided lanyard is bound onto the end of the fore-shaft.

Brown basket with simple coiled work, bifurcated stitches, and parallel slat base construction. Cross-stitched on the rim. There are two coiled work handles on the ends, which are partially beaded. Decorated with two horizontal rows of beading per slat. Vertically staggered stitches in red cherry bark/white grass/red cherry bark. Three motifs per side, one per end. The rim is beaded in red.

Rectangular, coiled basket with slightly rounded sides and a vertical striped design consisting of double lines in white/red/white/black. The rim is beaded in red and black cherry bark. Tall square sided bentwood box with lid (part b). The same Northwest Coast stylized designs are painted on the front and back in black and red. Rectangular box has steam bent sides. Last corner held together with wooden pegs. Sides are undecorated. The lid is slightly flared and unpainted.

Grave FigureA408

Carved wooden wolf head with protruding snout and drawn-back ears. At the end of the snout are two nostrils. The mouth is open with a tongue carved on the lower portion. The nostrils, eyes, inside the ear and mouth are painted red. The rest of the head is black. The neck of the figure ends in a flat, unpainted surface. Pencil inscription on back.
