One rectangular reddish brown clay brick with a slight intentional rectangular depression in the top surface. Brick has many chips, as well as splashes of green paint and white accretions.

Sash3034/1 a-b

Woolen knit sash with a pouch at the end. Long, thin, knit band in alternating colour blocks of grey, red and black. An open topped pouch is attached to one end at its mouth, with a zigzag pattern knit into one side, and lines into the other of the same alternating colours. The opposite end of the band is attached to the pouch’s side with a thick woolen tie. Inside the pouch is a packet (part b) of 11 coins, all Canadian quarters.

Quilted Blanket3000/2

Large quilt with a red and white checker pattern on front, plain on back. On each square are lists of names embroidered in cursive writing. The writing is in red thread on the white squares, and white thread on red squares. The quilting is stitched in horizontal lines across the piece, with the corner of each square done in diagonal lines thereby creating diamond patterns linking four squares.

House Feast DishA4147 a-i

Wooden feast dish (parts a-i) consisting of three large, deeply carved bowls (parts a-c), the whole forming a supernatural creature called a sisiutl. The bowls each sit of 2 sets of wheels that are loosely joined by mortise and tenon arrangements. The two end bowls (parts a and c) each depict the head and body of the serpent with a large protruding snout, carved eyes, ears and bared teeth. The middle bowl (part b) has a carved and painted human-like face on the sides, with two hands on the joins. Two large ladles (parts d-e) balance in the mouths of the sisuitl, projecting outward like tongues, held in by their handles. On top of the heads are four horn-like extensions (parts f-i), one at each end and two in the middle section. The bowl is painted with black, white, green, red and yellow design elements. There are holes in the overlapping slotted pieces for dowels (not incl. with dish).

Headband3034/2

Woolen sash constructed of three parts. The centre portion is a long panel of woven wool, the warp white, weft black, creating a small diamond pattern. At each end the warp becomes a thinner multi-strand plait, fastened at ends with a piece of black wool. Braid culminates in a loose tassel.

Halibut Hook3000/15

Large fish hook in a ‘V’ shape, with a pointed bone barb lashed to the thicker arm, positioned inside the ‘V’, with wound cedar root. Lashed to the thinner arm at mid-point in a similar fashion is a short, twisted cord.
