Clear glaze applied across interior; light grey-green glaze, with light blue highlights, applied to exterior rim and interior edge of opening. Undecorated bentwood box with thick lid. Box, made of yellow cedar, is secured shut along the seam with four pegs; attached to a thin square base. Lid has a deep and wide lip, that protrudes out and completely covers the box opening. Base and lid both made of red cedar, and have rounded edges. Unsigned.
Large, kidney-shaped, hand-woven basket; cedar slat construction, wrapped with cedar root. Decorated with alternating stripes of imbrication in black and red cherry bark, and pale yellow grass. Small half-circle handles attached near top edge at each end. Fourteen vertical stripes around all sides of basket; each set consists of 2 bark, 2 grass, 3 bark, 2 grass, 2 bark. Sets alternate between black bark and grass, and red bark and grass. Remains of secondary handles at both corners of the indented side (small root remains in four holes at one end; holes are empty at other end.) Old repair runs along the top edge on the outer side.
'Ksan Doors: four large cedar panels that join in pairs. Panels (a-b) are wide, and panels (c-d) are narrow. Each panel is covered with carved figures and designs on both front and back, with an uncarved border around the edges. Panels (a-b) have representations of Wolf, Frog, and Fireweed clans on the front, and the Sun (clockwise from top), the Son of the Sun, the Grandmother, Skawah on the back of her husband, raven and bear on the back. The side panels (c-d) also have representations of Wolf, Frog and Fireweed on the front, and black bear, hawk and beaver on one, and Whale, Fireweed, Wolf and Frog on the other.
Argillite figurative carving of Wasco, bear and a human; attached to small rectangular base. Wasco and bear are upright, back to back; bear is holding a human, upside-down, by the waist. Wasco has their head tilted back, and mouth open. Formline design elements on ears and fins; cross-hatching throughout negative space. Bear has incised lines across body, imitating fur; face is smooth. Human has their eyes and mouth closed, textured hair, and highlighted fingers and toes. Base is undecorated.
Vase with abstract designs around body. Vase is somewhat cylindrical, tapering slightly to a shoulder. The shoulder, body and lip all have two ribbed lines. The vase has a short neck and flared lip. The vase is light grey with tiny dark brown speckles. Flat unglazed bottom with incised artist's mark.
Rectangular wall hanging. The ground is divided into 9 sections with larger middle column and row. The centre row has light grey-beige centre with thin light grey-beige and green sides. The two end rows are green with light grey-beige and solid green sides. The sides have repeating light orange-pink triangles. Along each end is three diamonds, two small orange diamonds and a large orange-pink diamond at centre. Each end finished with a band of light orange, and then looped fringe with green on each side and grey-beige at centre. Tag sewn on back, 'SALISH WEAVING / HANDCRAFTED - FRASER VALLEY / BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA'.
