Square ceramic tile with floral designs carved in relief across front. Surface is glazed. Circular flower designs overlapping one another, covering entire surface of tile. Flowers done in light green, olive green, pale yellow and yellow-brown. All flower centres are dark yellow. Seven horizontal ridges on back of tile. Manufacturer’s mark, Minton & Co., stamped between ridges.

Square ceramic tile with geometric and floral motifs painted on front. Surface is glazed, sides are partially glazed. Background of tile painted black. Across front are three rows of dark brown circles, outlined in dark yellow. Inside of circles are stylized diamonds with flowers, done in dark yellow. Between the lines of circles are rows of the same stylized diamonds with flowers, but with fewer petals than the ones inside of the circles, done in dark yellow. Between each diamond is a dark yellow dot. Sides of tile undecorated. Five horizontal ridges on back of tile. Manufacturer’s mark, Maw & Co., stamped along ridges.

Square ceramic tile with geometric and floral motifs painted on front. Surface is glazed, sides are partially glazed. Background is white. Across front are two rows of large flower-like shapes, done in black, with more flower motifs inside them done in dark yellow. The large flower-like shapes have rounded edges. Between the rows are smaller flower-like shapes, done in black, with pointed edges. All flower-like shapes, large and small, outlined in dark yellow and connected together with lines, forming a diamond-like grid overtop the white background, in dark yellow. Dark yellow dots throughout grid. Sides of tile undecorated. Twenty three holes, four rows of five and one row of three, indented on back of tile. Manufacturer’s mark, Maw & Co., stamped on back.

Square ceramic tile with a floral motif painted on front. Surface is glazed. Background is white. Flower-like shapes in the top left and bottom right corners of the tile, surrounded by three dark blue circles. Central design of a lavender blue and dark-red purple flower, with pointed petals, growing out of the bottom left corner towards the top right corner of the tile. Stem of flower is yellow-brown, with three offshoots on either side. The bottom offshoots have lavender blue flower buds, with dark red-purple tips. The middle offshoots have large dark green leaves. The top offshoots have small dark red flowers. Diagonal ridges on back of tile. Manufacturer’s mark, Maw & Co., stamped in between ridges.

Square ceramic tile painted cream with dark brown designs overtop. Surface and sides are glazed. Plain line border along all edges. Tile divided into four sections with plain lines. Top right and bottom left sections have same design. Abstract sun in centre of square sections, surrounded by four smaller star-like designs in the corners. Top left and bottom right sections have similar design. Large quarter circles take up majority of the squares. Quarter circle in the top left section comes to a point in top right corner. Quarter circle in the bottom right section comes to a point in top left corner. Both circles have floral motifs inside them. The top left quarter circle has a white band along its edge, the bottom right one has a dark brown band. Next to the circles, in both sections, are butterflies with angular wings. Five horizontal ridges on back of tile. Manufacturer’s mark, Maw & Co. Ld., stamped between ridges.

Square ceramic tile with curvilinear motif painted on front. Background is red-brown. Central design of a circle outline with a square in its centre. Sides of square curve inward. Circle and square done in beige with black lines running through their middles. Centre of square is red-brown and has four ovals, with pointed ends, forming a flower-like design in the middle. Ovals done in beige. Two beige ovals, with pointed ends, in each corner of the tile. Sides of tile undecorated. Twenty three holes, four rows of five and one row of three, indented on back of tile. Manufacturer’s mark, Maw & Co., stamped on back.

Square ceramic tile with pomegranate motif carved in relief across front. Surface is glazed. Background is painted black, with a green tint. Three large pomegranates are growing from curving branches, that extend from top edge of tile. Leaves and offshoots, from same branches, decorate rest of surface. All are coloured dark green. White marks throughout design, highlighting veins in leaves and stem remnants on pomegranates. Five vertical ridges on back of tile. Manufacturer’s mark, Maw & Co., stamped between ridges.
