Coiled basket (part a) with handles, lid (part b), and woven carrying strap (part c). Made of simple coiled work (with bifurcated stitches); parallel splint foundation; foot is beaded. Partially imbricated: diamond designs in red, black and light yellow, with smaller diamonds at each point of the larger diamond; pattern carries over onto lid. Foot is beaded in crabapple bark. Remaining handle (three coiled rows) is imbricated in alternating four stitches of red cherry and four of black. Carrying strap is diagonally plaited and braided cedar bark.
