Basketry3369/1

Tall bottle covered with a woven basketry sleeve and cap. The bottom of the bottle is bulbous, with a thin tall neck. Weaving alternates between sections of loose and tight weaves. Tight weave is decorated with small birds in faded green and a large wolf(?), and a thunderbird with a snake in its talons.

Dzunuk'wa Mask3370/1

Large Dzunuk'wa mask painted black and red. Mask has a protruding forehead, sunken temples and cheeks, recessed narrow eyes, hooked nose, and large pursed lips. Mask has long hair parted at the middle, long bushy eyebrows, a long moustache and goatee, all made from horse hair nailed to the mask. Back/inside is plain carved wood.

Beaded bag composed of a long, thin shoulder strap and long semi-circular hide pouch, overlaid with red wool trade cloth and brown fabric. The front is stitched with a red and white checkered panel and flanked top and bottom two abstract designs in blue, clear, white, and black glass and seed beads. Edges finished with brown binding on the bag, and black binding on the strap. Edged overall in white pony beads.

Heavily beaded bag with long beaded neck strap. The rectangular pouch is heavily beaded with white and navy blue designs. The opening has a band of red wool trade cloth, hemmed with a dark yellow-green stitched trim, and is lined with white beads. Beaded design on front and back in clear, dark blue and light blues beads. The bottom of the bag is a flap, with red wool trade cloth on the exterior, lined with beige with black and red floral patterned fabric on interior. The strap has a continuous design in white beads down the centre.

Dagger Sheath3363/2

Beaded dagger sheath composed of two layers of dark brown corduroy, the bottom layer about an inch longer at the open end, with sides sewn together. Interior lined with a beige fabric. A wide strap is attached at open end of the sheath. Composed of five pieces of brown fabric (two sets of two matching, and one different) and is decorated with four matching beaded designs in white and sky blue. The back is lined a dark blue fabric on each end. All sides of the strap and sheath are hemmed with a stitched trim. Most sides are further decorated with white beading in a subtle zigzag.

Dagger3363/1

Y-shaped iron dagger with a thin wrapped handle. Dagger has a long tapered blade, which changes angles towards the tip, coming to a point. The back of the blade is flat. The narrow handle is wrapped with a thin strip of leather, and splits at the hilt creating the overall Y-shape.

Head Pull3353/6

Rectangular painting of two figures engaged in a head pull game. Two figures face one another and have a brown band wrapped around both of their heads. The figure on the left is lying on their stomach, with both arms out to support themselves. The figure on the right is sitting on their knees, with both arms out to support themselves. Both figures are wearing brown fur-lined, hooded coats, brown pants and boots. The figure on the right is wearing light brown and the figure on the left is wearing dark brown. Both figures are on snowy ground, painted with shades of pink, yellow, dark blue, light blue and dark green. Behind each of them are piles of dark and light brown rocks, with snow shaded yellow, purple and blue. In the background the sun is setting against a dark blue sky, with streaks of yellow, red and red-brown through it. The artist signature and year, "'09", are printed in pen in the bottom right corner. Next to the signature a small sun is sketched in ink.

Mouth Pull3353/3

Rectangular pastel drawing of two men engaged in the mouth pull game. The men are in the foreground, along the bottom edge of the paper. Both are coloured a light pink, have black hair and their eyes are closed. The man on the left side has short hair and the man on the right has long hair. Both are visible from the shoulders up and their shoulders are bare. The man on the right is facing the right side of the paper and the man on the left is facing the left side. The man on the right has his right arm wrapped around the shoulders of the man on the left, with one finger in his mouth. The man on the left is doing the same with his left arm and has a finger in the man on the right side's mouth. Above, and behind, the men is an upside down black-outlined semi-circle. The interior of it is coloured in light yellow and dark orange. Above the semi-circle is a black and white inukshuk with shades of dark brown. The background around the inukshuk is light blue and fades to a grey-blue. Above the inukshuk there are two harpoons with yellow blades and dark brown handles. The harpoons face inwards towards a dark brown, oval-shaped tool. The tool has a hole in the centre and two holes on the top and bottom with white strings(?) coming out of them. In the bottom centre of the print, in the space between the two men, the artist signature is written in pencil.

Basket3355/1 a-b

Small cylindrical basket (part a) with a flat fitted lid (part b). The basket itself is a natural grass colour. Around the base of the basket and rim of the lid is a taupe/bright orange/taupe band, which also forms a circle in the centre of the lid. At mid-point, basket has two rows of offset faded taupe rhomboid/diamond patterns. Midpoint on the lid is a row of faded orange rhomboid/diamond designs.
