Lithograph print on rectangular, off-white paper. Close up design of avataq, sealskin float, in portrait orientation. Float done in light yellow. Front flippers have jagged black line across them, depicting fur, and claws. Long tie, done in light yellow, looped around back flippers. Tie disappears under body and appears again on right side of float, curled in a circle. Majority of body covered in black abstract, curved triangle designs. Bright red syllabics overtop of embossed bird-like figure, in bottom right corner. Syllabics handwritten in pencil overtop of embossed symbol of the West Baffin Eskimo Co-Operative, in bottom left corner. Beneath avataq design is the title, print type, edition number, 10/50, year and artist signature. All handwritten in pencil. “08-2” handwritten in pencil on back of print, in bottom left corner. Faint imprint of words, and an infinity symbol, on back of print, in bottom right corner.

Unpainted wooden canoe paddle. T-shaped grip. Diamond shaped blade with a rounded tip. The shaft is cylindrical at the centre, but flattens at both ends where it meets the blade or grip.

Picture Frame3421/7

Carved and painted picture frame holding a coloured photo of the Goose Bay Cannery, behind glass. Each side of the frame has a pole with (top to bottom): seated eagle with wings folded in, downward-facing whale, and an Indigenous man depicted with long braids. Along the top is an eagle with its wings spread, and along the bottom is a sisiutl (double-headed serpent) with a central face of a supernatural being.

The eagle has separately carved wings (parts b-c) that spread out to the sides and attach into a vertical slot on each side of the pole. The humanoid figure is in an upright seated position. Painted model pole carved with (top to bottom) eagle, man, bear, whale; on a rectangular wooden base. The eagle has separately carved and attached wings (part b) spread out to its side. The man wears a Plains-style bonnet and is seated with arms held together in front of his body. The black bear is in an upright seated position. It has it's teeth bared, and tongue out. In its paws it holds the head of a canine-type creature. The grey whale faces downwards with its tail flipped up and curled under the bear. All three fins have been carved separately and attached.

Crochet Hook3467/6

Walrus tusk crochet hook with 16 small plastic inlay circles in orange and green. Small hook at one end, the other end is thicker and carved in the shape of a bear(?) head, with green inlaid dots for eyes. In the next section a thinner bear head is carved, facing a different direction from the first one, also with green eyes. Hook is unsigned.

Model Canoe3421/8 a-e

Model canoe (part a) with a long, tall notched prow, a flat bottom, and blunt stern with a vertical transom. The prow is carved in the shape of a wolf head. Painted with a red interior. Small lightly etched circles decorate both sides of the bow and stern. There are four thwarts or benches across the width. Two shorter paddles have red blades (parts b-c) and two paddles have green blades (parts d-e).
