Parka3415/1 a-b

Large blue fabric parka (part a) with deep front pockets. The pocket openings, hem, and cuffs are lined with two rows of white and red ricrac. Above the hem is a Delta braid. Dark blue wool inner coat (part b), with deep purple fabric lining, and fur trim around hood and hem. Decorated with appliqué polar bears on each patch pocket, and two mirrored appliqué designs of a hunter in a light blue parka and red pants dragging a beluga. The manufacturer label reads, 'Handcrafted in the Canadian Arctic by the Inuvik Sewing Centre". Both inner and outer coats have heavy duty metal zippers down front opening.

Jar3433/11 a-b

Small jar (part a) with a lid (part b). The jar's form is somewhat hourglass-shaped, with more proportional upper and lower sections, with concave midsection. The lower section has a slight taper in to the base. In the upper section, there are three flattened areas marked with rows of texture. The rim is brown, just below the lip. The interior of the jar and underside of the lid are a light grey-blue. The lid is flat, circular and has a flange to fit within opening of the jar.

Wooden humanoid mask with dark brown-red cord attached to the top, imitating hair. Head is thin and rectangular, painted black, with two pronounced eyebrows, outlined in light yellow. Eyes below are thin, oval-shaped, and outlined in red and light yellow paint. Face has a sharp hooked nose above an open, puckered mouth, painted red. Nose and curves of the cheeks are highlighted with light yellow paint. Formline motifs around the mouth and on the cheeks. Done in red and light yellow. Back of mask is hollowed out. Holes in mask for eyes and mouth. String and nails are attached to interior for hanging.

Wooden humanoid mask. Head is thin with a pronounced brow, painted black, which comes to a low point at front between the eyes. Eyes are thin, oval-shaped and outlined in red and black paint. The face has a flat hooked nose above an open, puckered mouth, painted red. Nose has a black line painted down the middle, with black also around the nostrils. Cheeks, chin and top of mask are painted black. Only unpainted surfaces are around the mouth and eyes. Back of mask is hollowed out. Holes in mask for eyes, nose and mouth. Cord and metal hooks are attached to interior for hanging.

Teapot3433/14 a-b

Lidded teapot with bamboo handle. The seven-sided teapot has a light grey with black glaze. The rim is unglazed and dark red-brown. The curved handle is attached by a small loop behind the spout, and another on the opposite side of mouth. Each end of the handle is folded back upon itself and secured with a small braided band. The recessed lid has a small knob handle.
