Rectangular coiled basket (bifurcated stitches) with short foot and two loop handles on each long side formed from coiled rows. Elongated watch-spring construction. Imbricated vertical bands, two on short sides, three on long, alternating in red or dark cherry bark with a cat-tail grass (?) zig-zag through center. Foot has intervals of double stitches in red cherry bark.

Rectangular mat with woven pattern. The mat has bands of dark cedar through both the warp and weft. The bands intersect at regular intervals, creating a grid-like pattern. The edges are finished using a thick strip of cedar as the outermost strand and overcasting on a core of cedar. There is a weft dowel attached across one end.

Drum (a) and drumstick (b). Hide stretched over a circular wooden frame with four lengths of wire meeting at the centre back, bound with cloth. Stick has cloth covered head; handle is wrapped with leather and cord.

Painted grouse headdress with an attached protruding beak and a large opening under the beak. To either side of the opening are four carved sections, painted green, brown, white and red. The cheek area is green with three half circles along each side. The beak is brown. The eyes are white with round black centres and the area surrounding the eyes is red with a line of white dots. Two black arches extend over the eyes. There is a white band with red half circles and black dots at the top. Twigs visible above the headdress are attached to the back of the mask with fibre and wire. (Similar to A8100).

Harpoon HeadA8089

Iron point with two long barbs embedded in and riveted to a copper fore-shaft with twin barbs. The fore-shaft is bound with twine and attached to a thin rope (presumably the retrieval line). Detachable harpoon head.

Carved wooden staff decorated with two figures. Lower figure is the angularly carved face of an old man with a full moustache and long beard, which curls three times around the stick. Amongst the beard curls are carved a mouse and a fly. The upper figure is a standing naked man holding a staff in front. Some carved sections are darkened for contrast. The entire stick is heavily shellacked.
