The clown has wide cutout circular eyes, outlined in blue and red, set deep between prominent brow ridge and cheeks. The large smiling mouth is cutout, and the lips and tongue are painted red, and lips outlined in dark purple. The clown also has a pointed chin, which has a red line across it. The mask has carved hair, which is painted black, with a dark purple widow's peak painted on the forehead.
