The item search helps you look through the thousands of items on the RRN and find exactly what you’re after. We’ve split the search into two parts, Results, and Search Filters. You’re in the results section right now. You can still perform “Quick searches” from the menu bar, but if you’re new to the RRN, click the Search tab above and use the exploratory search.

Band (watana) with fringe ends and beaded edging. Strands of red, yellow, off-white, and black handspun wool are woven together to form geometric patterns with diamonds, ‘X’-shapes, and wavy motifs. The band has a magenta border decorated with small round opaque white beads.
Band (watana) woven from handspun naturally dyed yarn. A geometric pattern of alternating greyish-blue and rust coloured triangles, separated by an off-white zigzag are at the centre of the motif. The band has a border in deep brownish-red and olive green along the top and bottom edges, an unfinished end, and a braided fringe on the other end. .
Woven band (watana) with a triangular or point (puntas) motif in handspun yarn. Alternating off-white and red triangles containing dots of the opposite colour are arranged next to each other to across the horizontal centre of the band, contained in two thin greyish-blue lines. The band has a border in oxblood and olive green. One end of the band has a small twisted fringe formed from the strands of the weaving.
Woven band (watana) with a zigzag (taclla q’enqo) design. The band has a thin blue and dark red border. The motif includes small dots and zigzags in off-white against a red and light red background. One end of the band has a fringe made from the strands of the weaving.

Woven band (jakima) finished with a fringe on one end. Two horizontal stripes in pink and green form the backdrop for the varied motifs worked in yellow yarn across the band. The motifs include a short section of zigzags at the fringe end, repeating kutij (that which returns on itself) ‘s’ shapes, a puito (small seeds) design of zigzags that branch off into small oval seed shapes leading into an aysa kutji (linked kutji) motif of connected wave-like shapes, followed by geometric and diamond shapes arranged to form a nawi (eyes) motif, concluding in another small section unlinked kutji (that which returns on itself) ‘s’ shapes. The design is contained in a thin green and brownish yellow border across the top and bottom edges. .
Thin woven band (jakima) with a repeating puntas (points) motif. The puntas (point) motif is made up of alternating red and forest green triangles with yellow dots, contained in a navy blue and red border across the top and bottom edges.
Woven band (jakima) with a wactapunacac (rib-to-rib) ch’uro (snail) motif. Alternating parallelograms in white and cobalt blue with dots in the opposite colour form the repeating motif on the band, contained in a red border along the top and bottom edges.
