A woman's off-white half-slip made of medium-weight cotton woven with alternating stripes of plain weave, and satin weave. Gathered onto a waistband with a shell button at the centre back over a placket opening. One horizontal tuck above knee level (for shortening). Bottom ruffle with eyelet embroidery and pin tucking.

Woman's white cotton broadcloth blouse-like sleeves. Full sleeves finely pleated onto shoulder panels; sleeves have wide panels of black cut-out embroidery; tightened above the elbow with drawstrings. Strips of bright pink textile have been sewn behind the embroidery and show through the cut-outs. Very deep gussets under sleeves. Neckline is gathered onto a straight collarband. Opens all the way down the back. No provision for fastening.
