Sample is rectangular with shimmering lustrous pink fibre design of round symmetrical flowers arranged in vertical and horizontal rows, each off-set from last and interlocking. Flowers are not spaced and diagonal line appearance is strong. In each part of design, fibres placed parallel to one another. Varying fibre direction changes light reflection.

Mounting paper folds in half with rectangular windows over 2 rectangular stenciled samples. Sample at top left is an overall openwork, sectioned pattern with the appearance of an engraving in white/blue on a black/blue ground. Yellow and orange circles are behind various blooms in the pattern. Vines or stems of black/blue lines, black/blue blooms with white/blue centres contrast with flowers having many petals and white/blue sectioned 'background'. Sample at bottom right has a pattern of petals, leaves, birds and flowers in small white ovals, dots lines with yellow, yellow and orange circles and green triangle details. All on a dark/blue ground.

Mounting paper folds in half with rectangular windows over two rectangular stenciled samples. Sample at top left is of evenly spaced decorated circles in alternating rows of two sizes of maple leaves. The largest maple leaves alternate with five petalled rounded blossoms. The larger maple leaves are near white on a dark blue circle edged intermittently in white. The smaller maple leaves are near white on dark yellow with intermittent white circular edging. The blossoms have a dark yellow centre with five white lines from centre and curved white lines indicating blossoms. All on a red ground. Sample at bottom right is of open, overlapping umbrellas with bamboo shafts, spokes and designs in light pink-brown, on pink-brown. Designs include characters and pinwheels with flowers and petals between.
