Gold Weight3055/62
Gold weight. Relatively square-shaped metal piece with upraised and incised design. Two triangular-shaped wedges are cut out on each edge to create diamond-shaped sides and upraised triangular designs on the top and bottom surfaces. The end of each triangle is connected to an upraised rectangle in each corner. The design on the top surface of the piece consists of a line of small circles down the centre with three equidistant circles incised on the triangle design. The design on the bottom surface has small crescents in the shape of a cross and a crescent in each of the four upraised corners. There is a grooved lined running the length of one side and short lines notched into the ends of the opposite side.
