Gold Weight1264/22

Metal eagle on rectangular plate base. Feet are triangle-shaped and legs are cylinder-shaped. The wings are flat semi-circles with parallel semi-circular grooves . A tapered rod is fastened with a band on each wing. The body has three rounded longitudinal sections above. The complex head hangs down to base level. The tail is an upturned fan with radiating lines and shorter horizontal lines resembling feathers.

Fertility Figure771/52

Fertility figure (akuaba) with a flat, disc-shaped head. High oval forehead, curved upraised brows, horizontal semi-oval eyes, a long vertical nose, and a small mouth at the bottom of the face. Rings are carved around the neck. The horizontal rectangular arms are outstretched to the sides with small pointed breasts below. The lower half of the body is cylindrical and ends with a base at the bottom. Red, green, brown, blue, and yellow beaded strings adorn the figure at the top, and a turquise, pink, white, and yellow beaded string adorns the bottom. The figure is attached to a black painted stand with a metal nail. The stand has red velvety material on the bottom.

Stool1264/1

Brass stool with flared rectangular piece on top, central column with two-semi-circle attachments on either side, and a rectangular base. An engraved scalloped design is found around the perimeter of the flared rectangular piece. Triangular-shaped line designs are found around the perimeter of the central column. Triangular-shaped edging is attached to the rim of the semi-circle attachments. The base is decorated with a series of thin horizontal lines and two thick vertical lines.

Kente Textile2610/1

Strip of Kente cloth fashioned from three long woven bands sewn together to form a quilt-like pattern of brightly coloured rectangles. Patterns include horizontal and vertical stripes, as well as various geometric designs such as zigzags and diamonds. Textile is woven using different types of thread and weaving techniques. Vertical edges are frayed, and side edges are uneven.
