Devil Mask3289/1

Carved wooden mask painted bright blue and blue-green with red and dark blue markings. Curled gold sheep(?) horns are attached to the top by nails. Mouth is open wide with long pointed teeth and an orange rolled leather tongue. The large slanted yellow with red eyes have circular holes cut through. The brow ridge is painted dark blue and red. Large pointed ears are on either side of the head, with a single hole through each ear and one more hole through the centre of the forehead. 'La Pirana' is written in black felt on the back.

Devil Costume3289/2

Green, navy, yellow and cream plaid wool devil costume with ribbons attached. Full-body costume, with bottom section sewn into long pant legs, and an open top. Short fringe on pant cuffs and along top of garment. Five long ribbons are safety-pinned to the front - royal blue, yellow, light blue and navy, and one small ribbon, which reads 'Jesus Nazareno Abril 2006' with an image of Jesus. The back of the top portion of the garment is not sewn down the centre. The left pant cuff has a white synthetic rope drawn through the weave.

Devil Mask3289/67

Large devil-dragon mask. Carved wooden mask painted orange-yellow and green, with horsehair attached to the chin. Large mouth with sharp teeth. The face is painted with scales. A gold with black tip pointed ridge extends down the centre of the face to the large flared green nose. Two large curled green horns extend out to the side, and a single gold horn extends straight up from the top of the ridge. The dragon has large pointed ears.

Devil Costume3244/1

Woolen costume. One-piece suit is woven of thick wool, dyed in horizontal stripes of varying width in shades of grey, tan, and dark brown. Stepped line patterns are incorporated into the weave in some areas, and a large concentric diamond pattern sits at hips on back. Short twisted tassels in light tan are attached at both the ankles and top edge of the garment. From two wide legs, the piece extends up over the hips, with a split up the centre to the top edge.

Small paper mache doll with moveable limbs attached with yellow string. Painted on to the pink female body with white feet are black hair, facial features, a red body suit with white and black decoration and a black necklace. Metallic sparkles have been glued on at her ears and chest and on her stomach are letters in white paint (JULIA ?).

Large paper mache doll with moveable limbs attached with white string. Painted on to the pink female body with white feet are black hair, facial features, a short purple body suit with pink, white and gold floral decoration and a gold necklace. Gold sparkles have been glued on to the sides of her head above gold leaf earrings and on her stomach is the name LUCIA, written in white and underlined.

Majolica glazed jar (part a) with painted design of four birds with long tail feathers among curling leaves in blue and yellow with a grey-white background. The rim is a band of blue. The base has three bands, blue, yellow, blue, with the bottom edge and inner ring a red-orange and unglazed. The interior is glazed. Dome-shaped lid (part b) with curling leaf design and blue knob handle. Base of lid is glazed, except lip, which is red-orange.
