The centre has fine horizontal stripes of red and dark brown. One end has thick red and white vertical stripes followed by a brown and white stripe. The opposite end has three vertical white stripes.

There is a black geometric border that runs along the top and bottom with two stripes on either side. There are two differing, floral patterns in between each line of border. The centre has a black lozenge pattern. The ends are raw.

Throughout the textile are silver coloured metal studs spaced closed together at one end then widely spaced over the rest of the length. One end and part of the side does not have the silver edging.

The design in the centre of the panel consists of two square motifs, embellished with rows of mirrors on a red and dark yellow background. A border design of embroidered and appliquéd bands and mirrors surrounds the central motifs. There are three 'tassels' made of clusters of bell-shaped pompoms of fine cotton thread and suspended from twisted fibre cords, evenly spaced on the 'bottom' edge; the tassels are trimmed with cowrie shells and metal beads.
