Boots1769/1 a-f

Pair of outer boots (parts a-b) with one pair of outer liners (c-d) and a pair of inner liners (e-f). The boots are made with fur soles and skin uppers, decorated with three bands of rickrack in red, green and dark blue. The seal skin legs have mottled grey seal fur at the base, a band of off-white seal fur, a band of dark grey seal fur, and another band of off-white seal fur at the top. The edge is trimmed with dark blue fabric through which is threaded a red, yellow, green and dark blue wool drawstring. The outer liners are made of off-white felted wool with sole and foot sections joined in green herringbone stitching and the top edged in a decorative blanket stitch. The inner liners are taller than the outer liners and are made from off-white felted wool with the top band embroidered with four floral motifs and edged with red and green zigzag design in wool yarn.

Male Figure3528/7

Bust of an Inuit boy. Carved in black stone, the entire face is surrounded by the edge of a fur hood; the back is plain other than the fur of the hood around the head. Variations in the stone at the back show greenish tones. The base is signed 'Manome', with a green co-op sticker that says 'Manomee', as well as an Eskimo Art Canada sticker.

Carving3528/26 a-d

Scene of three silver polar bears walking across a base carved to represent snow or ice. The somewhat square, off-white tusk base (part a) has hilly undulations running in one direction, and three small holes drilled to hold the pegs of the bears (parts b-d). One hole is drilled all the way through. All three cast metal bears are the same, with a peg on their front left foot, except that one bear has a longer peg. Syllabics inscribed on bottom of base.

Beluga Figure3528/19

White (beluga) whale attached to an antler base. Carved whale of tusk, with pectoral fins glued in place. Appears to have a wooden peg attached firmly to the flat antler base. Green ink has been added to the round incised eyes and the ]-shaped blowhole on top. The small tail appears to have been broken and reattached. Artist inscription on base in green marker.
