Printed inscription on the cover page reads: " KANAGAWA A part of the present Yokohama City. The atmosphere of a post station prevails in this print. The female beckoners recall the novel "Hizakurige" by Juppensha Ikku which was popular in the days just preceding Hiroshige." Japanese characters on the top, to the side, and on the bottom of the printed message.
