Black and white striped panel vest. The vest is made of four woven panels, stitched together at the back and top. The sides are connected by two white bands on either side. The front is left open and a wide black band is sewn around the neck and partway down the front. The edges are edged with thin black trim. The inside is unlined.

The Fifty-Three Post Stations of the Tokaido HighwayN2.1201

Print depicting a row of buildings along a shoreline with several people walking along the street. There are boats in the harbour. Print depicts the Kanagawa Station (#3). This is one of a series of reproductions of the "53 Post Stations on the Tokaido Hwy. from Nihonbashi to Kyoto (Hoei-do edition)". Print is matted on a piece of white-yellow paper and has an additional cover page that folds over the print. Printed inscription on the cover page reads: " KANAGAWA A part of the present Yokohama City. The atmosphere of a post station prevails in this print. The female beckoners recall the novel "Hizakurige" by Juppensha Ikku which was popular in the days just preceding Hiroshige." Japanese characters on the top, to the side, and on the bottom of the printed message.

This depicts Shinagawa Station (#1). This is one of a series of reproductions of the "53 Post Stations on the Tokaido Hwy. from Nihonbashi to Kyoto (Hoei-do edition)." Print is matted on a piece of white-yellow paper and has an additional cover page that folds over the print. The cover page has a printed inscription that reads: "SHINAGAWA The vicinity of the present Yatsuyama-Bashi. The neighborhood of Anamori at Omori is in the background." There are Japanese characters to the top, right and bottom of the printed message.
