Small whisk formed from a piece of bamboo that has been split into many tines that go outward from the stem. (The whisk fits into one of the bamboo tubes attached to 529/12 a.)
Tea caddy. Small, lidded, cup-shaped container. The lid fits over the rim of the base. Both are black lacquerware.
Ceramic tea bowl, or cup, with a footed base and slightly flared rim. Inside and outside are covered in grey-brown and white floral and abstract designs in horizontal rows. The sides are concave; the base and the rim have a similar diameter; the narrow foot is unglazed, showing the orange colour of the clay.
Drawstring bag. Woven basketry bottom, with a red, green, yellow, and white coloured cloth top attached, lined with purple fabric. Attached to the outside of the bag by a purple drawstring are two tubular bamboo containers. One is meant to hold a small whisk (529/12 e) and the other a small collapsible spoon (529/12 f).
A low lying shallow dish carved in the shape of a seal, inlaid with abalone, bone and beads. The seal is stretched round the dish, with a large head with abalone eyes and nostrils, and an open mouth displaying bone teeth. The seal' s flippers are carved into the side of the dish and stretch out on the opposite side to the head, the flippers are accentuated by small beads. The rim of the dish is inlaid with ovals of bone and beads, the dish itself is very shallow and does not appear to be stained with grease. The underneath of the dish is flanged and carefully smoothed.; Good
Cape composed of palm fibres sewn together with a twined fibre rope. The ends of the palm fibres hang loose at the bottom. The cape has two twined rope loops at the sides of the top and a twined tie at the centre.
Pair of hand sewn fabric leggings with ties. Dark blue cloth has green satin backing and is embroidered in red, yellow and green. At the back of each legging, at the bottom of the slit, are two long ties of folded blue cloth and another long tie has been sewn at its mid-point onto the front near top centre.
Carp-shaped windsock, decorated in bright colours and gold paint. The mouth of the fish serves as the mouth of the fabric tube, with an internal (wooden?) structure holding the opening in a circle. The bright fish design covers most of the outside; the predominant colours are red, pink and gold.
