Roughly rectangular paper fan with a wooden handle attached at the bottom. The front of the fan is divided vertically into a brown and cream-coloured halves, with the image of a brown fish featured on the cream side; a brown border rings both sides. Thin wooden ribs that protrude radially from the handle--sandwiched between two layers of paper--give the fan a ribbed texture.

The pattern consists of a light purple background with cream bundles of bamboo next to a dark purple background with blue, orange, yellow and brown landscape and three figures. The two women are holding flowers on their heads, while the man has flowers behind him. The flowers and the clothing are red, orange, blue, brown, green and pink. The two sections line up in a zigzag style.
