Dark finish with traces of gilt. Kwannon was an attendant to Amida Buddhas known as the "goddess of mercy" originally represented as a male. Halo (c).

Standing figure of Hotei depicted with his usual expression of laughter. He is clothed in loose attire revealing his abdomen and carries a fan in one hand. Hotei is a legendary Chinese Zen priest known as Pu T'ai. He is said to have lived in the T'ang times as a vagabond priest with a large bag carried on the end of a stick.
