Large brocade hanging. The hanging is made of narrow strips sewn together to make a large rectangle. The brocade has dragon and cloud motifs in ivory, orange and green on a gold ground. The back lining is purple silk with two loops along the top edge.

Rectangular shaped, light brown hanging textile with gold brocade in a foliage design. All four edges are folded then sewn down. The reverse is light brown, undecorated and has seven rectangular beige, fabric stripes from which the textile would hang.

Bronze brocade hanging. On the front the designs are arranged in rows in green, cream and yellow on bronze ground. There are rows of large roundels with animal-like figures (dragons?) with medium plant-like motifs and small endless knot and rhinoceros horn motifs. On the back are dense, multicoloured tree and floral motifs on orange ground.

Hanging composed of panels of ivory ground brocade with clouds and leaf-like shapes in green, black, blue, orange, peach, red, gold, silver, light grey-blue and yellow. Applique gold and faded red panels of deities are also shown, one with a blue silk tie attached at the top centre. Purply-brown iridescent silk lining with two loops attached on the reverse.

Ink painting on paper. Image of a scholar, seated, with four students in seated in front of him; all are in different meditative positions (different mudras). Characters are written above, below and beside the figures. Paper is mounted on a hanging scroll attached to a red wooden baton; a fibre cord ties it shut.

Reproduction of a calligraphy rubbing (part a) from a Japanese tombstone that describes the life of a famous person buried there. The text is writen in Chinese. There are six large characters in a horizontal rectangle at the top with many smaller ones below. Part b is the printed version with Japanese annotation.

Green and dark yellow silk kimono jacket (haori) with patterned lining (gaku’ura). Jacket has a centre opening, with braided white ties in middle for securing. Short sleeves consist of rectangular hanging panels, with openings under arms. Jacket is covered with tight diamond-like grid. Lining has diagonal rows of purple and blue, with connected geometric outlines overtop; designs made out of white dotted lines. Lining across interior of panels, and upper half of jacket.
