Geisha doll with full length figure dressed in a robe, predominantly of gold, green, and orange. Trim is red and white. Elaborate coiffure. Her hair is adorned with gold and pink flowers and red hair accessories. Some of her hair is tied up above her head and some of it flows down the front at either sides. Her left hand is upraised while her right arm is bent at the elbow so that her right hand can hold a piece of the fabric through which her left hand is attached. Standing on a black rectangular wood base.

The wood mask (part a) is beige-pink with a wrinkled brow and eyebrows painted whispy black. Round bulging gold-coloured eyes with the pupils cut out. Large nose with nostrils cut out. Red-painted groove for compressed mouth. Moustache, goatee, and beard painted whispy black. The bag (part b) is a light beige-cream colour with a patterned floral landscape design including the colours red, blue, green, pink, silver, and orange-beige. The bag has two ties, one on the side and the other on the overlaying flap to tie and close the bag together.

Sword GuardEd5.3193

Disk-shaped metal piece with a cut-out triangle in the centre and a cut-out semi-circle to the side of the triangle. Two monkeys are on the rim of the piece. The monkey directly above the triangle has its arms extended. The monkey to the side of the triangle has one arm extended on the front of the disk and the other arm extended on the reverse of the object. The monkeys have copper on their faces.

Libation WandEd9.5

Libation-offering wand, known as ikupasuy in Ainu. Long, thin wooden piece that tapers to a squared-off point at one end and has rounded corners at the other. There are three oval-shaped sections in the centre of the piece with cross-hatching designs inside. They are outlined with scroll-like designs and four smaller sections of cross-hatching. There are three carved lines at each end.

Wooden tool consisting of an apple-shaped basin and a narrower protruding area with an inset wheel; the wheel has a metal crank handle holding it in place. A small hole is in wall between wheel and basin and another hole is in opposite side of basin through to outer wall where it is framed by a metal bead. A thin thread runs around the wheel and through both the small holes. At the other end of this head is attached a wooden handle with a metal point protruding from the narrow end.

Rectangular block of wood with a narrow, deep basin and rectangular hole cut through from top to bottom on same side. Bottom has a cut out section corresponding with the cut through area; a wheel is set into cut through area with a metal crank handle. Small fibre remnant is wrapped around wheel; holes are through wall between wheel and basin and opposing wall of basin through to outside surface. Remnants of a black ink are in the basin.

Wooden tool consisting of an oblong basin and a narrower protruding area with an inset wheel; the wheel has a metal crank handle holding it in place. A small hole goes through the wall between wheel and basin and another hole is at opposite side of basin through to outer wall. A small glass bead is around the hole at end; a turtle is in relief between the glass bead and the basin; a landscape is in relief on side of wheel opposite the handle; an incised face is on the flat surface of the handle. Remnants of black ink are in the bowl.
