Scene shows a landscape with cranes, plum and pine trees, bamboo, water, rocks, and turtles. There are a few Chinese characters written to one side. The mirror case is in two pieces, with the larger piece (part c) fitting over the smaller piece (part b). The case is black lacquer with a sparkly orange lacquer interior.
