The painting is adhered to a long scroll of heavy paper covered with white silk, attached to a wood scroll bar. A brown riibbon is attached to the top of the scroll. Image shows Guanyin seated, dressed in white and black robes with an intricate copper, green, and white crown on her head, and holding in her left hand a blue vase containing a single frond of bamboo. Beneath her is the yellow and green head of a lion. To her lower right is a standing robed figure looking away from the goddess, while to the left is a partially clothed figure with hands clasped and lifted toward her.

Zhongkui Riding the Black Tiger3082/2

Double Longevity3082/1

Watercolour and ink painting produced for the lunar New Year. The image is of lady Magu, an immortal, protector of females, known as the Hemp Maiden. She carries a staff over her shoulder, balancing a basket of greenery and lotus flowers. To her left stands Shou Xing, the god of longevity. He holds a peachwood (?) staff in one hand and lifts a dried fruit to Magu with the other. To her other side is a child carrying a basket of immortal peaches. A black and red inscription in Chinese text is written above the figures. The painting is adhered to a long scroll of heavy paper covered in silk and attached to a black wood scroll bar. Door God Print946/44

Print of a civil official door god (如意加官), one type of civil door god (wen menshen; 文门神). The man is shown in a long robe, with small black goatee, a long black moustache, and a long, thin, black beard. He holds a military hat with a hanging banner with writing on it, 天官赐福 (Blessings from the Heavenly officials) in his right hand. In his left he holds a ruyi (如意, scepter). He wears a hat that has dark purple on the lower portion, purple-pink on the upper portion, and orange wing-like flaps pointing out to either side. The robe is red, green, purple, turquoise, purple-pink, orange and black. Figure faces right (viewer's left). The background is plain paper. The print is vertically rectangular.
