Latex (balata) figure of an arapaima fish. Figure is made of dyed latex rubber, hand molded. Fish has a long, relatively thin body, narrowing toward the caudal fin. Dorsal and anal fins follow the line of the tail from midpoint of body, and they and the caudal fin are painted in stripes of red and brown. Small pectoral and pelvic fins are held slightly away from the sides. The body is densely covered in incised loop markings to indicate scales. The head is square and blunt with incised gills, as well as mouth and nostrils, between inset black eyes.

Latex (balata) figure of an Amazonian manatee. Figure is made of dyed latex rubber, hand molded. Fish is in a prone position, thick flippers angling back from its sides, tail large, flat and round. Head is round with a large blunt snout. Small black eyes are embedded on the sides of the head. Figure is mainly black, but with a light grey covering over the central body areas.

Latex (balata) figure of a parrot. Figure is made of dyed latex rubber, hand molded. Parrot is in a standing position, wings at its sides, tail falling long behind it and aiding in balance. Lines have been incised in the rubber to indicate feathers on wings and tail. Body is grey with light yellow and tan highlights on tail, wings and feet, and beak is black. Small grey eyes are embedded on the sides of the head and surrounded by yellow patches.

The being stands upright in a wide stance, feet firmly planted on a rectangular sheet of latex. Arms are positioned widely, with a club held in the left hand. Long black hair streams from the head, above a face with incised facial features. Figure wears grey shorts. A large, slightly open mouth is bored into the stomach, with thick red lips.

Latex (balata) figure of two men in a small boat. Figure is made of dyed latex rubber, hand molded. Boat takes the shape of a dugout canoe, with a flat bottom and raised stem and stern projections. Between the two seats is a high rounded cover, with nothing below it. Each man is seated, wearing a fringed skirt, grasping a thick paddle, and has incised facial features. A circle of black hair sits on top of each head.

The head of the calf is blended into the stomach of the cow, where it sucks from her small udder, standing on short legs with long tail curving toward the side. Both figures are coloured a light brown, with incised facial features. The cow has dark grey, shiny, inset eyes.

Water buffalo stands in a wide stance with neck extended, ears drooping, horns curving in toward head, and tail curved away from the body at back. Animal is coloured dark grey with areas of light grey on legs and face. A man sites astride it on a brown saddle that holds a roll at back and a lasso strapped at left. He holds a short whip in one hand and reins in the other, which are looped around the horns and through a ring in the animal’s nose. Man wears black boots, blue and yellow pants, and striped shirt. A wide brimmed brown hat sits atop his head.
