Thicker ridge of wood mid-circumference of drum. Seven holes cut into wood base near open end, with metal clasps and chains attached; the five inner chains hold bells, flat metal discs and noise makers. Outer two holes have one chain attached, all facing inwards. Also attached to the inner side of the drum is a protruding stick, 16.4 cm long, wrapped in strips of rags and string. Part b is a drum holder consisting of two metal rings, joined by two metal bars with linking ends. Canvas strapping attached to rings in four places, knotted and looped at other end.
