Boots3600/12 a-b

Pair of leather boots decorated with geometric applique. Boots made up of four pieces of leather: soles, vamps, and front and back halves of uppers. Soles, vamps, and back of uppers are undecorated; coloured brown-orange. Front uppers dyed dark brown; applique stitched across surface, forming rectangular panel. Design consists of column of diamonds, framed on either side by triangles; rounded triangles in each corner of rectangle. Bottom and sides trimmed with wide bands; top edge undecorated. Applique done in brown-orange, beige, and turquoise. Opening of boots are finished; pull tabs on back edges.

Blanket3600/7

Heavy white rectangular blanket consisting of six woven strips, stitched together along the long edges. Five decorative columns run across centre section of blanket; all made up of black geometric designs with brown, yellow, and white highlights throughout. Designs consist of triangles, diamonds, checkers, plain and dotted lines, and zigzags. Central section bordered by wide brown bands, with white and black diamonds through middles, trimmed with black; white dots along black borders. Additional geometric motifs on outer edges of brown bands. Left and right edges of blanket bordered with black bands; two braided tassels extend from either side, in centre.

Pot3523/1

Grey-brown pot with an oval-shaped body, topped with a human-like head; spout opening doubles as mouth of figure. Face has a pronounced brow, incised circular eyes, a wide nose with large nostrils, and semi-circular ears; mouth opening is flared. Two raised bands decorate head, extending from brow to back of neck, and connect with a notched band that circles the figure's neck. Four panels, consisting of four notched bands, stretch from neck towards bottom of body. Long arms. with thin fingers, extend from neck, down front centre of body; designs are raised. Large panel runs down centre of chest, consisting of three lines with two columns of raised circles. Raised nipples are on either side of front panel; genitals underneath panel. Two curved bands connect side panels on back and arms; bands are notched. The rest of vessel is undecorated.

Orange-brown pot with a spherical body and spout opening. Spout is curved, with the opening angled downward; mouth is flared. There is a semi-circular protrusion along the front centre edge of spout; ridged column extends along back side of spout. There is a raised band around the spout base and it is trimmed with a secondary raised band, decorated with notches. Eight identical bands extend down from it, forming a panel covering the back of the vessel; eight additional notched bands protrude from either side of panel, circling the sides. Two notched bands connect to bands on back, decorating the front. Above the two bands, is a raised prong-shaped motif. Rest of vessel is undecorated.

Red-brown pot with a spherical body and three spouts. Spouts are connected at their bases and extend from the top of the vessel at angles; openings are all flared. There is a raised band around the spout bases and around the vessel shoulder, with two handle-like protrusions on either side. Handles are oval-shaped with smooth tops and bottoms; outer edges of handles are decorated with incised diamonds. Circular motifs incised around bases of spouts; on front and right sides. Rest of vessel is undecorated.

Red-brown pot with a cylindrical body and wide circular opening; lip is flared. Bottom section of body bulges outward before tapering into a high foot. Bands of incised decorations all along cylindrical section of body; bands consist of plain and diagonal lines, and zigzags. Raised square grids and plain lines with vertical decorations throughout bands. Two raised circles along front centre of body, with two conical protrusions on either side; two small circular protrusions in between the raised circles. Conical protrusions have horizontal lines incised across their sides, circular protrusions are covered in dots, and circles are filled with raised squares. Dot motifs border all protrusions and the circles. Bottom section of body and base of pot are undecorated.

Group of six people, standing in a circle, in the foreground; incomplete grid in background. A large tree-like protrusion extends from the top centre of the elephant's back, with long branches on either side; baskets and containers hang in branches. Figures riding the elephant are armed; figure on left is holding a rifle, figure on right has a sword. People on the ground are bald, bare-chested and wearing wraps; centre figure has a sash and all the other figures are holding their raised arms. Artist signature and inscription in bottom right corner. Back is undecorated; light fold marks through middle.

Glossy white rectangular card with a black lithograph print on the right side; card in horizontal orientation, design is vertical. Engraving is a rectangle and depicts a hunting scene. Seven figures are shown in a forested area with spears and sword-like weapons. Two figures are standing at the base of a tree with a third on a branch, stabbing at a bird. Three figures are in the background, observing, and a fourth figure is in the foreground, crouched on the ground and looking into a trap(?). A number of long-tailed birds are shown in the upper half of the image, sitting in tree branches, and there are two four-legged animals on the forest floor. All the figures have short hair and are wearing wraps; some are bare-chested, others are wearing short-sleeved shirts. All wraps and shirts are decorated; assortment of plant, geometric, curvilinear, and linear motifs. The background of the design is filled with leafy vines hanging from the trees. Artist signature and inscription in bottom right corner. Back is undecorated; light fold marks through middle.

White rectangular card with a black linocut engraving on the right side; card is in horizontal orientation, design is vertical. Engraving is a rectangle and depicts an abstract scene. Tall irregular shapes protrude from a curved base; wavy pathway cuts through top left corner of base. Short irregular shapes extend from base too. Base is covered in curvilinear motifs. All irregular shapes are filled with curvilinear, circular, linear and geometric motifs. In between the tall irregular shapes are similar motifs, as well as animal, plant, and human-like figures. Artist signature and inscription in bottom right corner. Back of card is undecorated.
