Corn husk face mask. Twined fibre coiled and stitched together into a face with bulging eyes, long nose, and puckered mouth with tongue extended. The face is bordered by long strands of corn husk fibres forming a mane.

Oval or eye-shaped silver tie clip. Design shows a howling wolf in profile, with the canine's head projecting above the upper edge. Silver overlay technique. Artist initials lightly engraved on back.

Round basket with attached lid. Basket is made of strips of black ash wood, in a variety of broad weaves. Around centre of body are two strips of twisted bark that create a wooden curl. Both above and below are strips coloured light pink. Near base is a thin braid of green-coloured bark. Two handles sit opposite each other, circles of bark attached by a curl under the rim. Lid is connected to body by black thread, which also sews strips of bark together to create lid’s rim. Green braids are woven around edge, and bark curls attach a handle to centre of lid.

Gloves, or gauntlets, made of soft suede, fully lined with a synthetic fleece. Opening is wide at forearm, with a closed hand pocket and a detached thumb. Wrist panel at top is black felt decorated by beading of a large light pink flower surrounded by light green leaves, and small dark red flowers with a dark green centre. Panel is edged by a long thick fringe along the outside and a short fringe laying around the wrist, both made of imitation hide.

Mukluks. Tall boots are made of soft hide, fully lined on the interior with white synthetic fleece. Long, wide fringe hangs from the top of the boot, with a braided bow with tassels at back. Shaft is sewn to foot at ankle, and a thong is threaded here for adjusting the fit. Toe panel is decorated with bright beading of a blue flower with green and orange foliage and white twigs.

Beaded moccasins. Shoes are made of hide, lined fully on the interior in light blue synthetic fleece. Top of toe and long flap covering the back of the heel are made of green felt with beaded foliage. Toe decoration shows a white branch with green leaves and two sets of flowers, one in pink and green, the other in yellow and blue. Around the heel are similar motifs in a horizontal line, with a dark pink cotton lining on the underside of the flap. Yellow, red and white beads edge the flap.

Round quill-covered basket with lid. Basket and lid are made of birch bark, with side walls cut and bent to snuggly fit the circular base/top, covered on the exterior with designs made from quills dyed blue and yellow, along with undyed white. The central design on the lid top is a 10-point star in blue with yellow centre and accents. It is surrounded by triangles of white quill inside a yellow circle, and a repeating series of gathered quill groupings around the edge, with yellow and blue stars shapes above and below the star. This is repeated in larger size along the sides of the lid, as well as the lower wall of the basket bottom (part a). Base has an undecorated, inset rim to hold the lid. quill-covered basket with lid. From card: "Obtained 1933 from Harvery Smallboy & John Fletcher. Four vertical stakes, held with top crossbars, sides completely enclosed with horizontal sticks and birchbark on top. Moss over bottom to simulate the natural grass ? whether burial put on top or within this framework."

THIS CANOE IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, USED BY OWNER ON ADIRONDACK LAKE PISECO, NEW YORK, IN 1984. CEDAR PLANKS COVERED WITH BIRCH BARK, SEALED WITH SOME TYPE OF PITCH, 3 1/4" RIB ON 4" CENTER. THREE CROSS BRACES WITH LEATHER LACES COVERED WITH PITCH. ALL SEAMS OVERLAPPED ABOUT 2" ALSO SEALED WITH PITCH.

SINGLE STRAND NECKLACE OF MULTI-COLORED DRIED INDIAN CORN KERNELS AND PORCUPINE QUILLS STRUNG ON BROWN COTTON THREAD KNOTTED TOGETHER AT ENDS.
