Golden, bronze and chocolate-brown cassowary feathers are attached at the base to a cone of bees wax adorned with coix seeds. The base of the feathers emerge from the point of the cone and are tied together with sago leaf fibres and bast string which are attached to a 7cm-long thin, pointed piece of wood.

Headdress made of Bird of Paradise feathers, ranging in colour from gold through bronze to dark brown, each tied to a braided band of cotton. The base of the feathers are squeezed together in sets of approximately 20 and folded over the bottom string and through two loops at the back of the braid. The braid ends in a loop on the left and a tie on the right with a small knot at the end.

Ornament made of the feature feathers of a Bird of Paradise, as well its breast feathers, still attached to the skin. Two sets of long, fine, light brown feathers hang from the skin of the throat, which is covered in shorter, dark brown feathers. The bird’s lower beak is folded over and resting within a cavity between the sets of feathers.

Penis sheath made of a straight bottle gourd. ‘Part a’ has pin-prick dots burned to form vertical and horizontal ‘lines’ on the bottom half. A band of bees wax encircles the sheath above this patterning over the top of a clean break, connecting it to the section above which is lighter in colour and without pattern. The top section (part b) has broken off, around which is a woven band of ruddy-brown rattan fibre placed near the opening. Yellow nylon fishing line is attached to the band.

Penis sheath. A curving, tapering bottle gourd. The thinner end is sealed.

Penis sheath. An unadorned bottle gourd, wide at open end, with a flat knob at the opposite thin end. Part b is a large chip taken out of the top rim of the sheath. Adjacent to this hole is a broken but attached flap of gourd.

Penis sheath. A conical bottle gourd has been broken at the open end and folded inward to create an opening that fits inside a thick, woven loop of rattan. Two white strings have been woven into and around the band, and a synthetic line with several knots is attached at one end. A whitish paper-like fibre has been stuffed inside.

A synthetic line is tied to the rattan band at one end, and appears to have been originally attached to the sheath’s tip. The gourd is cracked at the open end with one edge overlapping the other. This appears to be part of the design to allow gourd to fit inside woven band. There are scorch marks at the tip and on one side.
