Mask2623/4

Near circle of 18 boar's teeth, bound together with fibre through a hole bored at the gum end. Layer of printed paper over the fibre binding, then layer of thick dark red substance with a layer of clear yellow adhesive over. Impressed into the dark red substance and adhesive are a semi-circle of red seeds (1.5 x 1 cm), surrounded by white shells (0.8 x 0.5 cm). The tips of the teeth opposite the decorated section also have holes bored. Reverse is undecorated. Wooden bar wrapped in plant fibre on reverse, 5 cm from bottom of decorated edge.

Anklet2623/3

Five rings of coconut shell, 9.5 cm in diameter. Ten nutshells, each with a slit cut out, bound together with fibre through a hole bored opposite the slit. Nutshells are bound to one ring of coconut shell with the same fibre and to the others with synthetic ? fibre.

Bullroarer2623/2

Long flat wooden bullroarer, tapering at ends, with orange and white stripes painted horizontally on both sides. A hole and notch are carved into one end in which a long string of corded fibre is wound. An excess of corded fibre is wound together into loops.

Paddle2623/1

Single piece of black palm wood, tapered at both ends. One tip painted pink-red, with faint remains of pink-red and white stripes at sides. Band of feathers attached to fibre around centre. Feathers are brown and red, with one yellow-white and one blue. Diagonal cuts painted pink-red and white by feather band. Band of fringed grass fibre further up. Two holes bored at one end with plant fibre tied through - both bundles painted pink-red at tips with feathers tied to the ends. Notches scored in wood a top sides.

Necklace2514/6

The object is a woven necklace. The top part consists of a chain of connected circles. From the mid-point of the chain, there is a single, woven strand. On this string, there are 7 pieces of wood (bamboo?) alternating with 6 chains of connected circles made of fibre. At the end of one of these chains, there is a nut casing attached via a fibre string. Also on the single strand, there is a dark brown fibre attached and knotted.

Lime SpatulaC833

Brown-black wood piece that has a handle carved in a spiral design. Spiral design is consisting of three interconnected spiral curls along the 'back side' with a circle in between and having the main part of the handle which has a larger spiral curl curve underneath the three interconnected ones. In the middle, there is a three-prong v-shape. At the top, there is a fish-like design with a spiral curled tail. Designs emphasized with lime. 'Blade' tapers to a flat rounded point and is perpendicular to the handle.
