Bottle2990/718 a-d

Grey-brown bottle with conical spout, connected to a feline head by a strap handle. Four reed stamp circles on breast, two horizontal “eye of god” motifs on tail with geometric meander below. Banded legs to the sides extend to the gambrel. Spaces between wings and tail filled with chevron bands with a triangular foot at the centre. The feline mask extends back from wings along gambrel. Traces of red and white pigments. Mold-made ceramic; burnished surface. Broken and partially repaired. Part b) Side part of bottle with geometrical and incised lines near one of the edges. Traces of red pigment. c) Side part of top of the bottle with geometrical decoration and traces of red paint. d) Undecorated fragment.

Most of top surface incised; swept back wings, reed stamp circles, "S” repeat bands and profile fox on breast below potted field. Falcon head deity has reed stamp circles as eyes, in relief beak and triangular ears. Traces of red-brown paint. Mold-made ceramic; burnished surface. Broken; partially repaired.
