Two bands of cream, dark brown and reddish abstract decoration divide the interior of the bowl into four parts. The rim has a dark brown and cream border. The exterior is unglazed.

Painting of the virgin child Mary spinning. She is seated in a friar's armchair holding a spindle and distaff. She wears layered garments including a white blouse with decorative edging around the sleeves, a red bodice and a dark floral skirt. She wears a cape, which is held in place by a broach with an anagram of her name. Her face is very pale with red cheeks, her hair is held back by a gold headband with a red bow, and her head has an emanating halo. Bordered by flowers (tulips, carnations). Dark brown and off-white sash with long brown and off-white fringe with colourful tips. The fabric has a plaid pattern with squares of dark brown, off-white, and squares with a fine dark brown and off-white pattern. The rows alternate between rows of off-white and patterned squares, and rows of dark brown and patterned squares. The patterned squares are made up of a 6 by 6 grid of small squares with diagonal stripes, where the direction of the diagonal stripes alternates with each square which appears as a fine X or diamond pattern. The top horizontal row ends halfway up the squares. Most vertical rows have either one or two vertical lines up the centre of the squares, in off-white in the dark brown rows and dark brown in the off-white rows. The fringe is made up of dark brown and off-white strings, alternating with four strings in each row. The top row is half the height, so only has two strings. The strings are either dark brown or off-white, depending on the row colour. The fringe strings have short pieces of brightly coloured yarn tied around the knotted ends with a contrasting colour of yarn and white thread. The sets of dark brown and off-white strings are mostly finished with the same bright colour, a few are mixed.

Hat3486/28

Small knitted cap (chullu) made of handspun sheep’s wool(?). A thin row in dark blue forms the very edge of the border, followed by two rows of checkboard patterning against a beige background in red and dark blue respectively. The main design of the cap has colourful horizontal bands with beige geometric and bird motifs separated by thin yellow rows. The background of the bands are split into three sections starting with a red or dark orange stripe on the bottom half, a hot pink stripe in the middle of the band, and the top section which alternates between dark blue and olive green. The background of the band at the very top of the cap is solid red and ends in a small tail.
