Fragment: Sling3263/69

Fragment of a sling. Cradle and handles all trimmed in dark brown-black. Cradle is dark yellow-brown with an inner dark brown-black border. Inside of the border there is a plain line through the middle and has alternating brown and red triangles on either side of the line. Split in middle of cradle. Triangle pattern extends into handles. End of right handle is missing. Left handle extends into tightly woven brown-black braid.

Fragment: Textile3263/40

Panel fragment from a mantle or shroud. Light brown and rectangular in shape. Alternating diagonal bands, done in light and dark brown, across entire surface. Wide diagonal bands have standing bird motifs, thinner dividing lines between the bands have wave designs. Wide light brown border along bottom edge with large wave pattern. Designs done in dark brown. Dots in between the wave crests. Border trimmed on either side by two plain dark brown lines.

Fragment: Headband3263/74 a-f

Six fragments of a tubular headband. Consists of a central section (part a), four braids (parts b-e) and a wrapped cord (part f). Central section(?) of headband (part a) has design of vertical stripes across entire surface. Main body of section is cream. Stripes done in dark blue-grey, light green-grey, peach, red and yellow. Middle of part a is mainly red. Parts b and c are solid cream coloured braids. Part b's right side is wrapped in red thread. Dark blue-grey cords wrapped in intervals along right side, causing red threads to bulge through in three circular tufts. Part c's left side naturally curves downwards. Right side of part c ends in two smaller branches. Section before split and both branches wrapped in red thread with dark blue-grey cords wrapped in intervals along them. Parts d and e are solid pink coloured braids. Part d has a dark blue-grey cord wrapped around its left edge and long pink fringe. Part e is a plain braid with a left side that curves downwards naturally. Part f is cream coloured and its right side ends in two smaller branches. Dark blue-grey cords wrap around entire length at intervals bordered by dark purple lines. Likely that the cream fragments (parts b and c) were on one side of the central section (part a) and the pink fragments (parts d and e) were on the other side.

Fragment: Garment3263/42

Fragment of a garment. Two pieces of cloth sewn together along the top edge. Front cloth is rectangular in shape, brown and has a three by eight square grid across centre. Square backgrounds are all light brown-red. Designs in each square alternate between birds and pairs of stepped ladders with dots in their centres. Ladders are same brown as background of overall fragment. Birds are black. White semi-circles, with upside down black-brown triangles inside them, along top edge of front cloth. Back cloth is triangular in shape and plain white-brown.

Fragment: Headband3263/73 a-b

Two fragments of a tubular headband. Both have alternating bands of red and yellow yarn along their lengths. Left side of largest fragment (part a) curves downwards slightly and has a short brown yarn strand extending from it. Right side has three yarn strands extending from the fragment. Two are short, straight and brown. The third is long, spiraling and has alternating red and yellow tufts along it. Smallest fragment (part b) curves upwards slightly at both ends. Left side of part b has three straight strands of brown yarn extending from it. Right side has three strands of yarn extending from it. Two are straight and brown, one is spiraling and has red tufts along it.

Rectangular cloth is constructed in a tight weave, with thin alternating stripes of light and dark brown. Each dark brown stripe holds a series of stitched, evenly spaced yellow motifs, while the light brown stripes carry similar red motifs. A thin stripe of red cloth has been sewn to base. Textile edges unfinished.

Large, nearly square cloth constructed in a small weave, in several shades of brown. Patterning is dense, made of small ovals. A large grid covers the surface, within which are similar patterns containing a circle inside a square, surrounded by loose ovals. Edges of the cloth have been hemmed for display.

Grey-brown bottle with bridge handle connecting conical spout and blind falcon head spout. Falcon deity design is wearing an orange-red collar with twelve reed stamp circles and a band of geometrical designs at rear: triple horizontal band above diagonal zigzags with incised dots; four zigzags and one band are orange-red. Burnished surface. Broken, incomplete; partially repaired. a) Top part of falcon deity body. Four complete and two half reed stamp cirlces on orange-red ground. b) Rear part of deity body. Diagonal zigzag with incised dot decoration below triple horizontal band; one band and zigzag are orange-red. c) Rear part of deity body. Diagonal zigzag with incised dot decoration below triple horizontal band; one band and three zigzags is orange-red. d) Part of orange-red left-lower collar with four reed stamp circles, incised lines and two orange-red reed stamp circles below. e) Small and undecorated fragment. f) Conical spout and falcon deity perforated head connected by a flattened bridge handle. Reed stamp eyes, incised decorations with dots at the ends and in relief beak and ears. Orange-red paint. g) Part of orange-red collar with two reed stamp circles and incised-geometrical lines below. h) Undecorated fragment from the top of the bottle. i) Part of deity body with two orange-red reed stamp circles and incised-geometrical lines. j) Small, undecorated fragment, part of bottle base. k) Various undecorated small fragments.
