The hunter is hunched in order to observe a hole in the ice, known as an agloo. On the right side of the image, near the lower corner, there is a stamp. The stamp comprises of a line attached to a circle. Written in pencil along the bottom of the image is the following: "Johnasie Puvirnituq ’61 watching agloo 26/40 5c 26."
