Small figure of an old man. The figure has a high forehead, furrowed brow and prominent mustache and beard. The shoulders are hunched forward, with one hand positioned behind his back and the other cupping his ear. There are two holes bored on the underside of the nose for nostrils. The figure is dressed in pants, a tunic, a jacket and pointed slippers. There is a distinct cross hatching pattern in the ivory on his back. The base is somewhat concave.

Short statuette of a billiken type figure. The figure has high, rounded cheeks, slanted eyes, and tall, pointed ears. There are two small scratches on the crown of his head indicating hair. Two holes have been bored into the chest suggesting nipples. A belly button has been carved and painted black on the figure’s rounded stomach. It has shallowly-carved sides with extremely long arms.

Collar2952/2

Round black fabric collar with multicolour applique and a soft brown fur edging. Along the inside of the fur border is a band of light mauve-blue decorated with evenly spaced small green beads, and thin bands of red and white. Multi-coloured, curving, geometric designs have been embroidered in a circle on the black fabric, around the central opening which is trimmed with green. Hanging at the front centre is a red, semicircular flap, with a light yellow trim. The triangular neck closure is secured with a pair of small, marble-patterned, green buttons.

Robe2952/1

Salmon skin robe with applique embroidery. LIght tan-coloured skin with black fabric edging around the neck and down the side closure. The edging is decorated with a green band and thin red trim. The neck and sides are fastened with small, green plastic, buttons. The yellow band at the hem is decorated with numerous small, flat, bronze or brass metal decorations sewn on. Multi-coloured, geometric appliques on white fabric have been sewn across the entire back and down both sides. The black cowl and shoulders of the coat have silk embroidery in curving patterns. The skin cuffs are painted blue. The inside is lined with flannel and floral patterned fabrics.

Robe2798/1

Knee-length lime green robe with long sleeves has looped buttoning from the neck across upper chest to below one arm and down the side. Bordering the entire robe , including sleeve cuffs, are wide panels of black and blue fabric decorated with colourful needle worked cutouts, wavy lengths of yellow cording, blue and green fabric overlay, ribbons of gold and silver threads, and a red trim. The back is covered with overlapping feather shapes of black, brown and blue fabric, each trimmed in blue, yellow or red and with needle worked exotic bird or flower design in the centre. There is a one piece lining of unbleached cotton.

Silver plated copper chain and cross pendant in the form of an elaborate three barred Russian Orthodox cross, hung on a heavy scrollwork chain. The pendant is circular in shape with a scalloped edge and circles on the middle of edge. The inner portion has heart-like shaped cutouts that gives the centre its cross-like appearance.

Small wooden sled with a raised crib-like carriage attached to two runners curved at one end. The carriage is constructed from strips of wood bound and lashed together with hide thongs; low sides curl up into tall vertical ends.

Large, rectangular wooden box (part a) and lid (part b) with sides made from one piece of wood that has been bent at the corners. Two dark brown leather straps with a metal buckle fasten over the top of the lid. The box has a yellowed, varnished surface.
