Two male figures, carved from tooth, grasp a canoe made of horn at either end. Both figures are crouched, and wearing fur-lined hooded parkas, and mittens. Both have finely carved facial features. Figure on left is pushing forward, with their legs behind them; figure on right is tugging, with their legs underneath the canoe. Inscription on the base of the canoe reads: “Made in USSR. T10-117-772.”

Carved female figure, sitting and holding a fish. Her fur-lined, hooded coat has engraved bands on the cuffs and bottom edge; decorated with triangles, filled with vertical lines. Similarly patterned bands across her shoulders, and extending down her back. All bands are coloured with dark brown pigment(?). She has long hair drawn back into a round bun. Facial features are finely carved. Fish has concentric circles incised across its body, and its sharp tail wraps around left side of woman. Inscription on base reads: “Made in USSR. CMH-343(?)”.

Figure, wearing a fur-lined hooded coat, is holding a sharp tool in his raised right hand; left hand is lifting fishing net from below. Sled racer with reindeer and dog, mounted on a rectangular base that tapers slightly at one end. Two reindeer are shown in motion with their heads raised and large antlers extending nearly the full height of their bodies. The reindeer on the left is airborne with all four legs lifted, while the one on the right has its front left and back right legs extended backward in a dynamic running pose. A spitz-type dog, with its tail curled over its back, runs ahead of the reindeer. Behind them, a figure runs beside a sled, holding a long pole(?) in the left hand and a rope in the right. There is a short length of rope attached to the front of the sled. Inscription on base reads: “Made in USSR. T10-117-266(?)”.

Under Dress3221/2

Under dress. Garment made of purple fabric, ankle length, with long wide sleeves, tight 4-button cuffs, and a button closure neck with a high scalloped collar. Pleated seams chest and knee level; sleeves are pleated at shoulder and wrist. Dress flares widely out from chest. White cotton lines the bodice, but the rest is unlined.

Headdress3221/3

Beaded headdress made of shiny iridescent purple fabric, with a thick band that wraps around the forehead, a connected narrower band extending across the top of the head, and from this a third band extends from the centre of head to forehead. Each band is decorated with several lines of gold, white, diamante and pink pearl trim. Where bands meet at the forehead is a fabric circle with similar trim and a large pearl at centre surrounded by dark pink beads. Short beaded fringe hangs over forehead, with longer strands over the ears.

Dress3221/1

Dress made of a shiny iridescent purple fabric, sleeveless, of knee length, with a wide collar and button front. Skirt is pleated at back and flares toward bottom. Three decorative flaps sit at waist on hips and centre back, with tassels made of plastic beads hanging from their bottoms. Decorative gold trim and small round beads is sewn around hem, front opening, waist flaps, arms and collar. Curly appliques are sewn on collar and flaps. Front buttons are round plastic. Dress is unlined.

Short statuette of a billiken type figure on a round pedestal. The figure has high, rounded cheeks, slanted eyes, and tall, pointed ears. The figure’s eyes, nostrils, mouth, hair, nipples and bellybutton are painted black. The bottom portion of the pedestal has a rippled decoration. The sides are carved in shallow relief and have extremely long arms.
