The blouse is made from a large, heavily embroidered panel that forms the entire front of the blouse. There is a vertical neck opening at the centre front, bound with black embroidery; this opening is embellished with three rows of closely spaced circular metallic gold motifs. At each shoulder is a gold inverted heart-shaped figure. Below the armholes, the designs form an apron effect; the design elements, which are scattered over the entire surface, include hearts, squares, geometric forms, tree and flower motifs. Dark red pompoms, circular mirrors and silver and red sequins are placed within the motifs. The sleeve edges are trimmed with beads, sequins and beaded tassels. The bottom and sides are bordered with diamond-shaped motifs, sequins and gold metallic crocheted edging. On the back, separate, small shoulder yokes made from panels of multicoloured, machine-printed cotton broadcloth are sewn at the shoulders and at the underarms, forming close-fitting, abbreviated sleeves. The blouse fastens at the centre back neckline with green twisted fibre ties. There is also a green fibre tie located halfway down the left edge of the blouse and a fibre loop located at a corresponding place on the right-hand side. The embroidery is underlined with red printed cotton gauze.

Small, square, flat, envelope-style dowry bag or purse made by bringing three corners of a square together, using the fourth corner as a triangular flap. Heavily embroidered with square and X-shaped, brightly coloured geometric designs and round mirrors. Loosely twisted fibre cords (red, yellow and green; 52.5 cm in length) with a yellow pompom, are used to fasten the flap shut. The embroidery is underlined with red printed cotton textile.

Multi-coloured woman’s tunic that is lavishly embellished with panels and bands of embroidery on both the front and the back, incorporating several styles of stitching. The garment is very stiff and heavy. On the front, there is a large embroidered panel from shoulder to hip, and the upper edge of this panel extends over the shoulders to form a narrow yoke on the back. The embroidery on this panel is so elaborately detailed and so densely worked that none of the background textile is visible. Design elements in this embroidered panel include circular and diamond shaped motifs and many small mirrors. Below the densely embroidered panel on the front are three horizontal bands decorated with triangular motifs, rickrack, sequins and metallic braid embroidery. The back of the tunic has a centre-back neckline slit (37 cm). Pouches made of yellow and red textile which is embellished with an X made of black braid are sewn into the top of the neck edge on both sides of the neckline slit. The pouches contain small amounts of dried plant material. Below the back shoulder yoke are horizontal bands of navy blue and silver brocade. A panel of orange textile, embroidered with oval and square shapes, extends to the hem of the garment. The sides of the garment are formed from vertical strips of bright pink, green and gold satin textile. The bottoms of the elbow-length sleeves are finished with several rows of diamond-shaped motifs.

Woman’s skirt, consisting of a long, rectangular, dark red and black length of tie-dyed cotton textile. A large red central panel is bordered at one selvage edge by a narrow (19 cm wide) black band and at the opposite selvage edge by a wider (41 cm wide) black band. Clusters of white, yellow and red geometric patterns formed by tie-dyed dots are widely scattered throughout.

Woman’s rectangular silk georgette wedding veil. A bright green central field, with over-all yellow dot pattern, has five circular red medallions, one in the centre and one at each corner. These are embellished with yellow and white tie-dyed dots that form circular motifs. There are wide red borders on all sides, embellished with white, yellow and green patterns formed by tie-dyed dots. The surface of the textile is puckered.

Woman or girl’s multicoloured, short-sleeved, blouse front. Dense, bold geometric motifs, embroidered in silk and cotton thread, cover the entire surface of the garment, and in most areas completely hide the ground textile, which is made of red cotton. The shoulder area is defined by large floral designs; below the armholes the motifs form an apron effect, with a wide border at the hemline and along the side edges. Mirrorwork, white rickrack and red beaded pompoms are incorporated into the design overall. At the neckline there is a straight, centre-front slit, decorated with triangular dark grey tabs with tie-cords. Tie-cords are also located at the back of the neck. At the back of the shoulders, plain panels of dark red cotton textile are attached. Sleeves are extensions of the shoulder pieces. Sleeve edges and the hem are bound with strips of plain cotton textile trimmed with decorative machine stitching. A label made of off-white cotton textile, printed with a rubber stamp, is attached at the neck edge on the front with a loose running stitch.

A strip of bright green embroidered cotton textile (15.8 cm wide) is sewn to the lower edge; the colours of this strip, as well as the style of embroidery, are different from those used on the upper portion of the textile.
