The mat is rectangular with designs woven in a natural colour and pink. The design is a diamond woven with the two colours contrasting. There are twelve diamonds, four rows of three, separated by a zigzagging line.

Wood squaree beater pounder tapers to become a round handle which flares outward slightly at the end. Three sides of the beater have reeded grooves, with the other side being flat. Used for pounding off bark cloth from the mulberry tree until it is wider to create the tapa.

Samoan wrap made of printed cloth. Design in black, white and tan on a red-brown background. The hem is wider than the band along the top edge. There are four large ties along the top edge, and two button holes. Spaced evenly with the button holes are slash pockets, which creates a small fold in the cloth.
